My first sentence is the banana bunch is weighted down by a purple pendulum. Sadness is my great home, it is my refuge. I shall not want for sadness is everywhere. We cannot communicate with words says Michelle, but we cannot do without them says Ricardo, who plays tabla. But music! Says Michelle. Ron says, "But reality is only a word. You cannot bandy words about and think you tell me anything." But the purple pendulum of the weighted bananas swings in heavy winds. I do not know why god gave this world bananas or words to men. We go on and on like this. The fisherman have returned from the beach. They have caught fish in the sea of their reality. I want to understand. Nobody yet has been able to make me understand. I am uncommunicative because I have nothing really worth communicating. But, in the end, I would like to have something.

about

This album was written at 12 years of age after my father passed away from multiple Multiple Myeloma (Bone Cancer). Shutoff from the world, I plunged into the depths of emptiness and came back with a few recordings. The first track is a surviving poem of his, written while solo camping somewhere in southeast Asia.

This album is a grudged memory of a moment in time that is buried deep within my soul, fighting to re-emerge in my mind. His ashes atop a meadow on Torrey's Peak cry in fury that they are not at the pinnacle. I too, cried at this outrage for an entire year. Daily. The eerie tone of his mother echoes through a murky time of smoke and locked doors.

Recording Process in 1996:

The entire album was recorded on a Packard Bell desktop computer microphone. It was gray, mono and had a 1/8th inch jack. The piano is a Roland MT-32 Digital Piano. It was recently donated away. All editing was done in Cool Edit Pro.
